G.S. 50C-10 — VIOLATION LAW
- Violation of a 50C order is a Class A1 misdemeanor — up to 150 days in jail
- Law enforcement has authority to arrest without a warrant if there is probable cause to believe the order was violated
- Second or subsequent violations may be charged as a Class I felony in some circumstances
- Criminal contempt carries a separate sentence independent of any misdemeanor charge
