PURPOSE OF THIS FORM
- This notice TRIGGERS the debtor's 20-day window to file a Claim of Exemption (AOC-CV-421)
- Must be served on the debtor at the time of levy or immediately after
- If not served, the debtor's right to claim exemptions may remain open indefinitely
- Serve by personal delivery or certified mail with return receipt

- Homestead (primary residence): $35,000
- Motor vehicle: $3,500
- Personal property (household goods, clothing): $5,000
- Wildcard (unused homestead balance): $5,000
- Retirement accounts (ERISA/IRA): generally unlimited
- Social Security, disability, workers' comp: statutory exemptions
- Married couples may double real property and personal property exemptions
