RULE 30 — KEY POINTS

  • Notice must be served on all parties at least 10 days before the deposition (unless shorter by stipulation or court order)
  • Non-party deponents require a subpoena under Rule 45 — this form covers party deponents
  • Corporate deponents must designate a knowledgeable representative under Rule 30(b)(6)
