THE 150-DAY WINDOW
- Forfeiture is entered when defendant fails to appear (G.S. 15A-544.1)
- Clerk mails notice to surety within 30 days of forfeiture
- Surety has 150 days from notice to produce the defendant or show cause (G.S. 15A-544.4)
- Missing the deadline forecloses most relief options
- Use CR-206 to move to set aside forfeiture
